Contrary to popular belief your greatness should not be measured by the number of jet skis, designer handbags and cars you own. In today’s workplace there has been a mindset shift from being motivated solely by money, wealth and material objects to being motivated by positivity, empowerment, job satisfaction and happiness.
FOCUS ON FINDING A NEW MEASURE OF HAPPINESS
Measuring your legacy in terms of dollars and cents will eventually lead to a vicious cycle of wanting more and therefore chasing more. This misdirected prioritization will not only impede any forward momentum but ironically it will be counterintuitive by allowing fear to step in, which ultimately squashes all progress, hope and success.
In short, focus on finding a new measure of happiness in this new and exciting business landscape. Stop trying to be flashy and concentrate on appreciating the successes in life, no matter how small and insignificant they seem to be!
